Eluminute Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing community well-being in marginalized communities. We aim to empower individuals and communities to thrive by fostering holistic well-being through innovative programs with a specific focus on creating educational and economic equity compounded with communal healing, cultural exploration, creativity, and personal growth within the community. We hope to achieve this through a variety of innovative programs and supportive spaces.

Our Story

Born from the heart of the Bronx, amidst the pulse of a community rich in culture yet challenged by the strains of economic disparities, Eluminute Inc. stands as a beacon of hope and transformation. Our journey began not just as a response to the symptoms of poverty and low socioeconomic status that we've witnessed and experienced firsthand, but as a movement towards healing, empowerment, and the decolonization of mind, body, and soul. We recognized early on that the path to genuine liberation from systemic oppression requires more than just surface-level interventions—it demands a deep reconnection with our cultural roots, a reimagining of what it means to be human, and a holistic approach to wellness and prosperity.

At Eluminute Inc., we believe in the power of culture, the arts, nutrition, mental and physical well-being, and financial stability; not just as components of a fulfilling life, but as essential tools for healing historically marginalized communities. Our mission is rooted in the desire to elevate those in low-income demographics, particularly focusing on the youth, to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and resilience needed not merely to survive, but to thrive and redefine their futures.

Meet The Team

Niajah Morgan

Founder & Executive Director

Our Founder and Executive Director, embodies the essence of leadership with deep roots in the Bronx. Born ,raised and currently residing in the Bronx as a proud member of the LGBTQ community of Afro-Latina and Afro-Caribbean descent, Niajah leverages her comprehensive academic background, including a B.A. in Business Management, an M.B.A. with a specialization in Finance, and an M.A. in Education, to steer Eluminute Inc. towards its goals. Her experience as an economics and civics teacher in the Bronx's most underprivileged district, District 12, equips her with firsthand insights into the educational and economic challenges our communities face. Niajah's commitment to social justice and economic empowerment is the driving force behind our initiatives, ensuring they are impactful and rooted in the needs of those we serve. Niajah's has dedicated her career to serving marginalized communities. She is deeply committed to fostering healing, unity, and empowerment among those she serves. Her approach is holistic, recognizing that true change requires addressing the interconnectedness of social, economic, and health-related challenges. Niajah's leadership is characterized by a relentless pursuit of equity and justice, guided by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and inclusive community.

Angelique Agudo

Director of Operations

Our Director of Operations, hails from Harlem and brings a wealth of experience in non-profit management to the team. Her Latina heritage and a B.A. in Sociology provide her with a unique perspective on social dynamics and community needs, enhancing our approach to building sustainable, impactful programs. With ten years as director of a non-profit dance school, Angelique's proven track record in creating safe and nurturing environments for young girls extends into her role at Eluminute Inc., where her organizational skills and strategic planning capabilities are crucial for our success. Angie has dedicated her career to fostering positive outcomes for underserved communities. She has a proven track record of implementing impactful programs that promote equity, empowerment, creativity, and personal growth. Angie's commitment to service and activism has taken her around the world, including volunteer work at orphanages in Thailand and India, where she witnessed firsthand the transformative power of the arts. She is driven by a mission to ensure that all children have access to safe spaces where their minds and bodies can flourish. Angie was the 2023 recipient of the PASE Setter Award, recognizing individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation, and dedication in their field, embodying positive change and inspiration.

Lexus Iglesias

Program Director

Our Program Director, brings a vibrant blend of community engagement and organizational skills. A fellow Bronx native and a member of the LGBTQ community of Afro-Latina descent, Lexus's B.A. in Management and her five-year tenure as a program coordinator at a non-profit dance school in Harlem underscore her ability to create and sustain programs that resonate with and uplift our target communities. Her expertise in offering safe, inclusive spaces for artistic expression among low-income girls in Harlem and the South Bronx is crucial in our efforts to heal and empower through culture and art.
